Joseph Crawford

My name is Joseph Crawford and I have been developing websites since 1999. That sounds like an intro to a self help group monologue. Maybe it should be. Since the beginning my interests in different web technologies have continued to grow. From the humble beginnings of HTML 4 to Object Oriented Programming with PHP. Life keeps getting more interesting every day. I like setting up servers for email, dns and everything else that makes the Internet go-round. Lately I have been developing websites for customers using an open-source PHP framework known as CakePHP.

When I’m not wearing the letters off my keyboard I am busy working on a remodeling project with my friend Tarah Wolff. We bought this huge 2,765 sq. ft. house in Durant OK in November 2005. Since then we have gutted the whole thing; moved a few walls; replaced all of the electric and upgraded to 200amp service; replaced all of the plumbing; installed all new windows; and are currently in the process of finishing the dry wall. We are doing everything ourselves so it has been a learning experience to say the least.

Until June 2008 I was working for a large horse trailer manufacturer as their website administrator. Since the economy hit a slump the horse industry went downhill Sundowner had to make some cutbacks. So me and a few hundred other people are currently looking for something else to do. I’ve been using the time to get my house finished so I can hopefully move somewhere else that has work for people of my persuasion.

I’ve also been trying to force myself to start writing a few articles on here hoping that some of my frustrations on trying to figure things out can help other people avoid hair loss. Hope you enjoy!
